Joseph L. Vaccaro has over 40 years of insurance claim experience, providing clients with a wide range of paralegal, insurance and management expertise. He served more than 12 years in the claims department of one of the nation’s largest insurance companies and is licensed for all types of casualty and property insurance in Florida.
Professionally designated as Casualty Claims Law Associate by the American Education Institute, he is head of the firm’s Pre-Litigation Department. Mr. Vaccaro has been qualified by the court as an “expert witness” on matters of insurance coverage, claims procedures and insurance bad faith.
Mr. Vaccaro is a highly regarded lecturer, moderator, and author on insurance, including coverage analysis, bad faith analysis and claims handling for the plaintiff. In addition to authoring numerous articles, he is the co-author of “Maximizing Personal Injury Coverage in a Typical Automobile Collision Case,” published in book and video forms.
Mr. Vaccaro developed a seminar program for Professional Educational Systems, Inc. (PESI) entitled “Settling Insurance Claims.” He has authored several portions of the seminar materials and, since 1990, has lectured on this program throughout the United States. His programs have been approved for CLE credits.
Mr. Vaccaro is a co-founder and former president of The Plaintiff Paralegal Association, now merged with the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and is a certified arbitrator to The Florida Alternative Dispute Resolutions Center. He is a member of The Fort Lauderdale Claims Association, and he holds affiliate membership in the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
Mr. Vaccaro received his Bachelor’s degree from St. Francis College, in addition to numerous certificates in various areas of insurance.
