Firm Obtains Recovery For Parents Who Lost Their Son While Driving a Chevrolet SuburbanA driver of a full sized SUV drifted onto an unpaved shoulder where construction was taking place. The front right wheel hit a deep hole that caused the SUV to flip on to its roof in soft dirt and brush. Impact with the ground caused the roof to collapse down to the dash. The driver's head was trapped in a fold of the roof and was pinned to his chest. His airway closed and he suffocated in his seat. Ricci and Leopold was able to prove that the roof structure was grossly insufficient to provide a reasonable degree of occupant protection when a vehicle of its size and weight is involved in a rollover. |
