Sherrod v. Green

Willie Sherrod, a veteran of Desert Storm and mother of one, was involved in an automobile accident in Riviera Beach in February 2001, where Defendant Stanford Grandison violated her right of way. As a result of the incident, she suffered lacerations to her arms and herniated disc to her cervical spine. Dr. David Campbell has recommended surgical intervention of a cervical discectomy and fusion.

Because the Defendant's insurer failed to settle Ms. Sherrod's case when it could and should have under all reasonable circumstances, Ms. Sherrods filed suit and proceeded to obtain an excess verdict against Defendant Grandison.

Prior to verdict, Attorney's Edward Ricci and Jason Guari, managed to settle the case for approximately nine times Grandison's policy limits. The name of the Defendant's automobile liability insurer and the terms of the settlement agreement are confidential.
