Edward Ricci Received Prestigious
Jon Krupnick Award for Perseverance
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Attorney, Edward Ricci of the West Palm Beach based law firm of Ricci~Leopold, P.A. most recently received the Jon E. Krupnick award from the Academy of Florida Consumer Justice Attorneys (AFTL). The award was presented at the Academy's presidential luncheon on June 14, 2002, in Orlando.
The Jon E. Krupnick award was presented to Ricci for his 17 years of focused and relentless work without compensation to secure the rights of a Cuban American and his small business against major insurance companies, the Federal EPA, the Florida EPA and "Big Sugar". The honor recognized Ricci's perseverance and unrelenting efforts to obtain insurance coverage for his client.
Established in 2000, the annual award is presented annually by AFTL to recognize and honor a Consumer Justice Attorney who has championed an important case on behalf of a client. The award focuses on a recipient whose efforts reflect relentless commitment, perseverance and fortitude to seek justice and achieve success despite all obstacles and legal roadblocks encountered. Jon E. Krupnick, for whom the initial award was named, proved his dedication, skill, focus, and commitment to his client, a four-year old child in a case that took 15 years, before victory and justice was finally found.
The recipient of the award is chosen annually by the board of directors of the AFTL.
