03/24/08 - Okeechobee Judge allows punitive damages to be added against McArthur Farms in case involving loved one killed by milk truck—trial set for September.
On March 6, 2007, Sheila Roysdon, a 58 year old, was driving home from her job working at a doctor's office in Okeechobee, Florida. Mrs. Roysdon was driving her Chevrolet van northbound on State Road 15 in Okeechobee when a McArthur Farms milk truck, weighing in excess of 30,000 lbs., ran a stop sign at the intersection of State Road 15 and NW 208th Street and crashed into Mrs. Roysdon's car. Mrs. Roysdon died as a result of the severe impact.
