Ted Leopold recently spoke at the 2008 “Trial Superstar~Trying the Catastrophic Injury Case” seminar on the subject of jury selection.

03/24/08 - Okeechobee Judge allows punitive damages to be added against McArthur Farms in case involving loved one killed by milk truck—trial set for September.
On March 6, 2007, Sheila Roysdon, a 58 year old, was driving home from her job working at a doctor's office in Okeechobee, Florida. Mrs. Roysdon was driving her Chevrolet van northbound on State Road 15 in Okeechobee when a McArthur Farms milk truck, weighing in excess of 30,000 lbs., ran a stop sign at the intersection of State Road 15 and NW 208th Street and crashed into Mrs. Roysdon's car. Mrs. Roysdon died as a result of the severe impact.

On behalf of Jane Doe and her mother, Palm Beach Gardens Consumer Justice Attorney Ted Leopold has filed a State Court complaint alleging sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress of a minor, civil conspiracy and RICO violations against Palm Beach billionaire Jeffery Epstein and his accomplices Haley Robson and Sarah Kellen.

After a five day trial in Palm Beach County Court, Spencer Kuvin, associate attorney and Ted Leopold, managing partner of the consumer justice firm of Ricci~Leopold, recovered more than $2.3 million for Gerald Scoggins, a resident of Palm Beach County in an uninsured motorist claim against Nationwide Insurance.

Arguing that a proposed class action settlement involving Sharper Image's "Ionic Breeze" air purifiers "looks more like a marketing tool than a fair deal," Public Justice has filed objections to the settlement and called on the marketing giant for a "more serious" response to studies that show the devices emit harmful levels of ozone.

As many as one million tires believed to be defective could be on vehicles driven by families across the U.S. Department of Transportation officials have required a recall, and everyone should check their cars to make sure they are not driving on recalled tires.
